To illustrate what Utopia World Vacations is about, what follows is part of Utopia World owners personal experience with timeshare ownership.


About ten years ago, we were guests of best friends Woodie & BJ, who owned a timeshare week in Poipu, on the southern beach in Kauai, Hawaii. While enjoying our time there, we happened to notice a 'foreclosure sale notice' posted at the resort. The resort developers were gone, having sold out their inventory, and the aftermarket sales were happening at around $11,000 for a 2 bedroom unit.


The foreclosure sale happened soon after that, and we bought a first floor floating weeks usage timeshare unit for significantly below the market value.


We learned that reservations could be made 2 years in advance of the week desired. For the last many years, we have reserved the best available unit in the resort for our personal use, for the exact week we want to use it. We reserve one of several deluxe units on the top floor with the best view of the ocean in the entire resort!!


Filet mignon at burger prices!! Almost like magic, we bought a marginal unit at a foreclosure sale, but get to use the best unit in the building every year, at the best time for us!! We are building Utopia World Vacations around that magic concept.
